WEIGHT MANAGEMENT FORMULA

Bitter Orange
Has been used for the treatment of Asthma, Nasal congestion, Sinus congestion, Low blood pressure, Energy, stimulant, to improve Kidney and Bladder, and for Arthritis specific. Since ancient times in China, the herb BITTER ORANGE has been used for the service of Asthma and Arthritis. Drops of the extract when placed on the tongue open spastic breathing passages, and give the sufferer the ability to breathe deeply again. The herb BITTER ORANGE activates the function of the heart and sometimes alarms one who does not know that pulse and breathing are increased as with caffeine from coffee. The effect is temporary and should not be considered as alarming. BITTER ORANGE has been very beneficial and effective in low blood pressure and low energy. Chinese sources also indicate worthwhile effect in bladder disorders, kidney pain, syphilis, headache, hayfever and colds.

WHITE WILLOW BARK
Has been used for treatment in cases of Salicylic gycosides, Tannins. Customarily used for fevers, arthritis and pain. It has been used for years to treat fevers and arthritic pain. Recent research has shown that salicin contained in the bark has the ability to reduce fevers (antipyretic), Antirheumatic and Analgesic properties. Tannins or tannic acid is used as a styptic and in treatment of diarrhea.

BLADDERWRACK (Fucus Vesiculosus [Kelp])
Kelp is a good advocate of glandular health, especially the thyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands. KELP is also high in trace minerals and, if taken can replenish a large portion of the minerals lost during the course of the day. This variety of sea kelp, taken from the cold waters of Northern France is due to its higher content organic iodine. KELP is customarily used in almost all herbal combinations for weight loss probably due to it's effect on an underactive thyroid. Because it contains organic Iodine it poses no threat to persons allergic to Iodine. KELP contains many trace minerals needed by the body and is also used in many nutritional programs to resupply the body with these trace minerals, and to treat inflammation and pain of arthritis. It is used in many herbal formulas for the treatment of goiters, bursitis, eczema and psoriasis.

GINSENG
Ginseng affects the body in a very positive manner. Ginseng helps by directly affecting the Adrenal-Pituitary axis, which effect is most often manifested as increased resistance to the effects of stress. It appears to affect the immune control center of the central nervous system, directly and indirectly through adrenocortical hormones, toning, increasing output, or simply restoring equilibrium. Blood parameters, including pressure, glucose levels, insulin levels and white blood cell count, are stabilized, i.e., reduced or raised as needed in order to restore homeostasis. Analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory action will occur when needed. Ginseng either thins the blood or increases its clotting ability depending on circumstances. Studies from around the world show that ginseng strengthens the heart, stimulates recovery from surgery and debilitating infectious disease, and otherwise helps people to overcome the effects of physiological stress.

Properties of Ginseng
  • 1. Stimulation of RNA, DNA and protein synthesis in the liver.
  • 2. Ability to prevent alcohol intoxication.
  • 3. Anticancer properties as shown in studies on animals, humans and cell cultures
  • 4. Ability to strengthen the heart muscle and protect it against myocardial ischemia and infarction.
  • 5. Ability to reverse essential hypertension.
  • 6. Ability to influence almost all liver functions.
  • 7. Immune-enhancing action, including the stimulation of phagocytosis, modification of interleukin responses, strengthening of the reticuloendothelial system.
  • 8. Ability to neutralize free radicals through antioxidative action.
  • 9. Normalizing action of blood sugar levels depending on need.
  • 10. Ulcer protective properties.
  • 11. Central nervous system depressant or stimulant, anticonvulsant, analgesic, tranquillizing.
  • 12. Antifatigue action in animals and humans.
  • 13. Antipyretic or fever-reducing action.
  • 14. Increases synthesis of cholesterol in liver; enhances cholesterol breakdown into other steroids.
  • 15. Enhances mental acuity and intellectual performance.
  • 16. Stimulates adrenal glands and the entire adreno-hypotha-lamicpituitary axis.
  • 17. Ability to lower or raise red blood cell count depending on need.
  • 18. Ability to lower or raise white blood cell count depending on need.
  • 19. Healing action on corneal deformities.
  • 20. Has distinct antitoxic action against a wide range of toxins, including radiation, heavy metals and airborne pollutants.
  • 21. Has some positive effect on male sterility.
  • 22. Has some positive effect on female estrogenic hormonal activity.
  • 23. Exerts antipsychotic effects.

BISSEY-NUT
Properties and uses: Contains therbromine, and xanthines resembling caffeine in its action. Unlike caffeine, it induses better, not worse, attributes of sleep.Used as diuretic, myocardial stimulant, dilator of coronary arteries and smooth muscle relaxant. Stimulates central nervous system. Bodily influences: Decreases fatigue, increases sex drive, used to treat high blood pressure. Helps body dispose of excess fluid by increasing amount of urine produced. It is traditionally recommended for headaches but is likely to bring relief to those who regularly drink coffee or other caffeinated drinks.

Cayenne
(Whole) *has been shown to have the following effects in animals and humans:
  • 1. Lowers cholesterol and prevents rises that typically follow the ingestion of cholesterol-rich foods.
  • 2. Lowers the risk of blood clotting by inhibiting platelet aggregation and enhancing fibrinolytic activity.
  • 3. Exerts a cardiotonic effect expressed as a normalizing of blood pressure, blood flow characteristics, and heart rate; strengthens and tones cardiac output.
  • 4. Increases activity rates and mental performance.
  • 5. Suppresses and prevents and infections.
  • 6. Possesses secretagogue, diaphoretic and diuretic activity.
  • 7. Exerts a topical pain-killing action, especially on mucosal surfaces of throat and on gums.
  • 8. Increases flow of digestive juices; increases tone of stomach and intestines.
  • 9. Stimulates lipid mobilization in adipose tissue.
  • 10.Lowers peripheral adipose tissue weight and serum triglyceride concentration. Also lowers plasma phospholipids and total cholesterol values. Possesses a hypocholesterolemic action similar to that of curcumin (from turmeric), whole turmeric, etc.

Ester C
The major thermogenic vitamin is probably vitamin C. Vitamin C helps maintain and/or restore sensitivity to insulin. It also helps maintain normal function in the adrenal gland. Ester C increases white blood cells four times more and Circulates in the blood stream twice as long as ascorbic acid (vitamin C).

Pantothenic acid (B 5)
Is very important in maintaining insulin responsiveness and adrenal health, and will help insure healthy BAT (Brown Adipose Tissue) functioning.

Licorice Root
Has the ability to stimulate the adrenal cortex, treat ulcers, relieves rheumarism and arthritis, and also used to induce menstruation. Zinc *aids the vitamins in maintaining tissue senitivity to insulin. Manganese *helps improve glucose tolerance.

Zinc
Aids the vitamins in maintaining tissue sensitivity to insulin.

Manganese
Helps improve glucose tolerance.

Selenium
Facilitate some of the biochemical events directly involved in skeletal muscle and/or BAT (Brown Adipose Tissue) metabolism.

Chromium Picolinate
Helps the body cells receive insulin, enabling it to maintain stable blood sugar levels. Activates many of the enzymes which breakdown sugar and makes Proteins. Can lower bad cholesterol while elevating the good kind and boost the building of lean muscle mass while decreasing the body’s fat stores. In one laboratory experiment when Chromium was added to a high sugar diet it significantly lowered Serum Cholesterol and resulted in less accumulation of Lipids in the arteries (Shari Lieberman & Nancy Bruning). Increases Longevity. Increases HDL cholesterol which is the kind we want. By reducing the build up of fatty arterial deposits thus reduce the development of blood clots, which can obstruct blood flow to the heart. According to this study, anyone who is concerned about cholesterol or has a history of Cardiovascular Disease should be taking GTF chromium. In addition to its relation to arterial disease, chromium has also been found to either reverse or delay age-related changes in the body’s hormones and NERVOUS SYSTEM. The hypothalamus is directly involved and scientist believe that when it is rejuvenated, the prospect of an extended and healthy life span is enhanced.
